This is our mid-size handlebar & saddle-mounted bag. Although originally designed for the handlebars, it will also mount on some saddles.
FEATURES—Three attachment points. Two straps (Velcro-like material) for attaching to saddle slots (or handlebars) and a third strap that goes around the seatpost. The pair of main straps are removable and can be adjusted for different widths. They fit any bar from 22mm up to 34mm in diameter. See “Caution” notes below for saddle use.
MAIN COMPARTMENT—Holds a jacket, arm warmers, repair kit and snacks. It has a single heavy-duty #8 YKK water-repellent zipper. The bag is lined with a thin piece of plastic which gives it shape. Inside the main compartment is a lanyard for attaching keys or a GPS. The diameter of this bag is a little larger than a 2L soda pop bottle, which is slightly larger than many other similar-styled bags on the market.
OUTSIDE—On each end of the bag are mesh pockets with an elastic top. There is also a pair of corded loop “rings” for carrying the bag as a shoulder bag. On the front side are five D-rings for attaching accessories.
CONSTRUCTION—The exterior of the bag is constructed of rugged 400-denier Nylon Pack cloth or 420-denier Ripstop Nylon fabric (with a water-repellent coating on the inside of the fabric — we don’t use cheap polyester fabrics like some imported bags). The outside of bag has reflective strips for use in dim light or night riding.
COLOR CHOICES—Our current model is now predominantly black with a dark gray or red accent on the ends.

SIZE—this bag is larger than many other so-called Burrito Bags—it is slightly larger diameter than a 2L bottle (see attached photo).
Caution
- When mounted to a saddle, this bag sits right up against the rear of the seatpost and may interfere with your pedaling stroke — use at your own risk!
- This bag will only fit on saddles like Brooks, Selle Antomica or Rivet which have a pair of slots on the rear (see photo). The removable straps on this bag are 25mm (1") wide, whereas most saddle slots are narrower (20mm), consequently a pair of pliers may be required to squeeze it through the slots.
Notes for Handlebar Use
Light or GPS Units: some handlebar bags block the use of handlebar mounted lights or “out front” GPS units, but because of the curve of this bag, this is generally not problem.
Caution: The skinny lower strap on this bag slips around the stem or head tube of your bike. It may scratch certain paint jobs, in which case you may want to use helicopter or frame protector tape.
Assembly
To save on shipping costs we may ship these bags flat (ever tried mailing a balloon?); if so, roll up the plastic stiffener and, at a slight angle, insert it into the bag & unroll it. Slip the ends of the plastic into the webbing flaps.
