This is our smallest handlebar bag which provides 2.2 liters of volume. It attaches to flat bar mountain or hybrid bikes or drop bar road/gravel bikes.
This is a hybrid product, as is we took the Piggy-back Pouch (2122) and the SoftSide Handlebar Adapter (2354) and, with a minor modification, turned it into a sleek “front” bag.
FEATURES—Two straps (Velcro-like material) for attaching to your handlebars and one that goes around the head tube or stem. It also has a pair of webbing loop “rings” for carrying as a shoulder bag when used off the bike.
The bag can be removed from the Adapter and worn on a belt as a small fanny pack or piggy-backed onto larger eoGEAR bags like the 6.8 or 12.0.
On the outside of the are extra webbing attachment points, should you wish to attach a reflective Yield Symbol, for night riding (SKU # 3624-0EO).
MAIN COMPARTMENT—Holds a small jacket, arm warmers, repair kit and snacks. It has a horseshoe-shaped zipper.
INSIDE POCKET—The inside “slip” pocket is a good spot to store cash and I.D. It will hold the optional vinyl wallet (# 4915). Also included is a lanyard for your keys.
CONSTRUCTION—The exterior of the bag is constructed of rugged 400-denier Nylon Pack cloth or 420-denier Ripstop Nylon fabric (with a water-repellent coating on the inside of the fabric — we don’t use cheap polyester fabrics like some imported bags). The main compartment has heavy-duty #8 water-repellent zipper. The outside of bag has reflective strips for use in dim light or night riding.
COLOR CHOICES—Our current model is all black.
Cautionary Notes
Tire clearance: because of the vertical nature of this bag, you will need at least 8" (20cm) from the top of your handlebar to the top of your front tire.
The SoftSide adapter has extra buckles which are for use with larger handlebar bags that require stabilizing straps and are not used with this combination.
Nearly all handlebar bags block use of handlebar mounted lights (except for our Large Burrito Bag). Consider mounting your light below the bag on the fork (best) or above the bag on a stem accessory like the Delta Computer Caddy (see photo[s] on this page). With version 2.0 this is less of a problem as the bag can be positioned much lower than previous models.
