eoGEAR Zippered RandoBag™ 2.3-DT

Overview

This bag is part of the RandoBag family of bags that use the eoGEAR Dual Tab System (DTS) — a modular bag system that requires a separate bracket or adapter to attach to a saddle or handlebars. Unless you already own an eoGEAR RandoBag bracket, we recommend purchasing the SeatBag 2.3-IA instead (# 3023-GIA, the I.A. or Integral Adapter model, which has the connection parts built in). The 2.3-DT is generally used as an addendum to an L-Bracket, placing it under the saddle for extra capacity.

FEATURES—This bag has one main compartment and an outside smaller pocket. This bag will supplement the larger seat bags on longer rides, or it can be used by itself on shorter training or century rides.
Modular bag attaches to either side of any “L” saddle bracket, which in turn mounts to the seat rail of most saddles (Brooks & Selle An-Anatomica require an optional adapter).

MAIN COMPARTMENT—Holds a small jacket, arm warmers, repair kit and snacks. It has an easy-to-use horseshoe-shaped zipper.

OUTSIDE POCKET—The outside zippered pocket is a good spot to store cash and I.D. It will hold the optional vinyl wallet (# 4915). Also included is a lanyard for your keys. It has a pair of pleats in the fabric to accommodate bulkier items without interfering with the volume of the main compartment. Just to the left of the label, behind the reflective stripe, is a slot for hanging a tail light (though typically we recommend attaching them to your seat stays as the angle on back of a soft bag like this, may or may not orient the light properly).

CONSTRUCTION—The exterior of the bag is constructed of rugged 400-denier Nylon Pack cloth or 420-denier Ripstop Nylon fabric (with a water-repellent coating on the inside of the fabric - we don't use cheap polyester fabrics like some imported bags). The main compartment has heavy-duty #8 water-repellent zipper. The outside of the bag has reflective strips for use in dim light or night riding.

COLOR CHOICES—Our current model is now predominantly black with a dark gray top. Also we have omitted the silver-colored compression strap, substituting an internal framesheet instead.

Saddle & Frame Compatibility

The Mini Seatpost Adapter attaches to any round post up to about 35mm in diameter. Our larger brackets, on the other hand, mount to the seat rails of most saddles, however Brooks and Selle An-Atomica may require a special “2311 Wide Rail Adapter.” See the bottom half of this page for other exceptions.

Requires at least 15cm (6") clearance from the rails of your saddle to the top of your rear tire or fender. For further information on this including a photo, visit this page. Frames smaller than 56cm may not work with this bag may rub on your rear wheel.
