If you find the straps are too long, you can fold & pinch them as shown (smaller Medium bag shown).
The Medium is 1/2" wider than the Small. The Medium & Large and about the same width, but the top edge is shaped differently.
Velcro piece helps secure bag and make it more stable. This feature is getting phased out over time, in favor of a rubber-like material on the strap.
Newer inventory will provide an additional stabilizing feature: a piece of rubber-like fabric on the rear top tube strap.
Wide shot showing more of a road bike frame.
A vinyl wallet or smart phone will fit into the zippered pocket.
Small accessories fit in the mesh side pocket. It is secure with a hook & loop closure (with the loop on the exposed part so it does NOT snag your clothing)
Optional Fuel Box holds real food or tech food for eating “on the run.”
The bag will hold one or two tubes with other tools.
Optional fuel box fits in any of our top tube bags.
The zipper opens in such in a convenient manner for GPS or light battery cables.
Placing a small battery in the mesh side pocket enables powering of a GPS (or light) for longer rides (large size shown).

Follow the instructional captions in the following photos.
1) On most models the stem strap can be adjusted vertically. For more stability, set it to the highest position your stem will allow. Be sure the doubled over portion of the strap is facing inward (see the next photo for clarification). 2) Cinch down the other straps—in particular, the rear strap should be VERY TIGHT. 3) The Cord Port enables you to run a USB cord from the inside of the bag to your GPS, while keeping precipitation out.
The Spacer Pad can be added to any top tube bag stem strap. Gently slip it over the ends of the straps (you will need to rotate the nylon rectangular loop sideways) and snug it up so it is flush against the bag. On models with an adjustable height daisy chain, be sure the doubled over part of the strap (highlighted) is facing inwards.

eoGEAR X-Large Century Bag

Overview

This top tube bag will attach to nearly any bicycle: road, mountain, urban, tandem*, recumbent*, gravel grinder or cross.
*Tandems may require a pair of extender straps for the bottom Velcro-like straps as the top tubes of these bicycles are larger in diameter.

  • The main zipper can be operated with one hand while riding.
  • In addition to the main compartment, there are two pockets, one on each side of the bag: An exterior mesh pocket with quick-access Velcro closure for small accessories and a zippered fabric pocket for cash, I.D. etc.
  • The exterior of the bag constructed of rugged 400-denier Nylon Pack cloth & 420-denier Ripstop Nylon fabric, with a water-repellent coating on the inside of the fabric (we don’t use cheap polyester fabrics like some imported bags).
  • The main compartment has heavy-duty #8 water-repellent zipper (most other manuf. use a smaller, less durable #4 or 5). It opens from the front, so you can use it for stowing an external battery packs for powering your light or GPS.
  • It will hold one or two tubes, two CO2 cartridges, a small tool and a couple of tire levers.
  • The bag attaches with three hook & loop straps (we don’t use elastic that will stretch out over time).
  • Available in various colors
  • Reflective strips on each side for use in dim light or night riding
  • Closed-cell foam padding on bottom for protection of electronics against vibrations of road or trail.
  • Because of the larger height of this bag, we provide an stabilizing feature: a piece of Velcro on the rear, bottom side to keep the bag from rotating left and right. We provide you with a piece of adhesive hook, which you can adhere to the top side of your top tube—it matches up to the Velcro loop sewn to the bottom of the bag. (Over time, we are transitioning our inventory to using a piece of rubber-like fabric on the rear top tube strap instead).

Warning

  • This X-Large model is very tall so it tends to be floppy (left to right), so we typically recommend a smaller size unless your phone just won’t fit.
  • Some cyclists do not like having a bag on the top tube as it may interfere with their knees, especially while standing up to pedal.
  • We have had isolated reports of paint rubbing off caused from the straps or fabric on this bag. You may want to apply a piece of clear frame protection film or ISC so-called “helicopter” tape to your top tube.
  • Shorter cyclists (~ < 5' 8") may find when they dismount that they catch their thigh or crotch on this bag.

Optional Accessories

  • A Spacer Pad provides some space between the bag and bolts of your stem. Some people find the steering is smoother with this, but it is strictly optional (# 2459).  If your stem sits really high on the fork, with a bunch of spacers, then a Spacer Pad is not really needed.
  • The main compartment is sized to hold our exclusive Fuel Container (# 2451) — no more messy food in your jersey pockets
  • The outside zippered pocket is specifically designed to hold the optional Liberty Mountain Vinyl Wallet (# 4915)
  • Tandems or “bents” may require a pair of our #2446 Extension Straps for the bottom Velcro-like straps as the top tubes of these bicycles are larger in diameter.

    Phone Compatibility

Will fit phones up to 183 x 95 mm (7.2 x 3.75") in size. If your phone is narrower than 95mm, then a taller phone will fit.

    • Samsung Galaxy up to S5 and Note 4 with a “jumbo-sized” case
    • iPhone 6+, 7+ or 8+ with most large cases, like an Otterbox Defender box

For smaller smart phones (i.e. iPhone 5, 6 or 7 and the X) choose the Medium Century Bag instead (# 2006).

    Concealed Carry

This bag will fit smaller handguns that measure from the barrel to the bottom of the handgrip (measuring diagonally) up to approx. 170mm (6.6") in length. A Glock 21 (45 auto), for example, is much too large for this bag.

    Richard’s Recommendation

On longer brevets or double-centuries, one is frequently riding in the early morning or evening hours which necessitates wearing a jacket which covers your jersey pockets — this bag serves as a practical substitute for stowing and accessing the gear or food that is commonly kept there.

      Specifications

      Weight: 111 g (3.9 oz.)
      Volume: 1.1 L (68 cu in)
      Inside Dimensions (bottom of the bag at the widest point): 11.5h x 20.0w x 4.4d cm (4.5h x 7.9w x1.75d").
      Outside Dimensions: 13h x 21.0w x 4.7d cm (5h x 8.25w x1.85d")

This bag attaches to a top tube with a circumference up to 18cm (7"). If you are using a tandem or recumbent with larger-than-typical tube size, then purchase our optional Top Tube Bag Extender Straps (# 2446). An extender strap can also be used on the stem strap of any our top tube bags, but typically that strap is more than long enough for the common 1-⅛" (28.6mm) threadless stems.
